December 2nd - Welcome Back Topher!

December 2nd!  Topher is BACK!!!

He may be a day late, but our little elf has found his way back!!  This year, his little sister is tagging along for the ride!  She is a shy little girl, but she is still really happy to be with our family!

Last year, Topher brought us a Christmas Village from the North Pole.  Lexi only gets to play with it while he is here, so its always a special treat!  She loves the house, and all her many North Pole friends!  (Right now, she has Daddy hostage to play with her)

We are so excited to have Topher and Christy with us this year!

Topher and Christy set up the Christmas Village to surprise Lexi again this year!  Lexi knows they were coming soon, but didnt know it would be today!!

But soon, they heard Lexi racing around the house, so they figured its better to give Lexi room to play with her toys, so they hid behind the couch!

Also made sure to leave Lexi a cute little letter!

Lexi was so thrilled to have her Christmas Village back!!!!!!

She knows this year not to touch the elves! But wanted to tell them Hi and Welcome Back!

And of course blow them a kiss!

December 14th - Decorating the Tree!

So our trees have been up for a few weeks now. Lexi's tree has been well decorated since day one, but our big tree.... not so much! Basically has only had a couple flowers, and the lights.   We haven't been able to find our ornaments.  Well, Topher came to the rescue!!  He found our missing Christmas Box!!!

This morning, I snuck downstairs, and caught our little elf decorating the tree for us!!

He found our pretty red and silver bulbs!

And Placed them all over the tree!

He also found our silver bulbs and gifts, and also placed them all over the tree!

Wow! Our tree looks AMAZING!!!

He also found Lexi's Reindeer and brought them into the tree as well!

When Lexi woke up this morning, she was SO excited to see the tree all decorated!!!

And was also super excited to see Christopher in the tree as well!

All ready for Christmas now!!

December 13th - Elf of the Jungle!

Topher sure loves to explore Lexi's room.  Today, she found her Zoo!   He had lots of fun swinging in the trees, and sliding down the slides, and climbing to the very top!  Lexi enjoyed playing as well!

Santa's Magic! What happens when Lexi touches Topher.....

As with most parents with a 2 year old, they don't fully understand the reason why you can not touch something..... No matter how many times I tell Lexi "Sorry, you can't touch him.  He will loose his magic, and have to go back to the north pole!!"  She still tries again and again to give him a kiss, or a hug, or help him up when he has fallen out of his balloon (and then give him a bath...)

So I sent Santa an email, and asked him for help!! Seems like every day, Topher is losing his magic, and every day he has to go back to the North Pole, and every day we get the tears because Topher is Gone!

Santa was quick to respond!!!!  He sent his magic our way!!!

And his Magic Snow came with a special poem!

Poem Reads:

Santa heard your Elf
is feeling blue
His magic is fading fast
St. Nick’s powers are
strong and true
And Elf’s sadness will not last

With a wiggle of His nose
Santa will make it better
Your elf will be aglow
With more magic than ever

Sprinkle this snow on Elf
For the problem it will fix
He’ll be back on the Shelf
Thanks to one of
Kris Kringel’s tricks

Also came with instructions
1. Give your Elf a big hug!
2. Give him a Kiss
3. Tell him your sorry for touching him
4. Sprinkle snow over his head
5. Put him in a safe place for the night

If you want to make your own, Here are some templates!

Print this, fold in half, and staple to the top of your bag of magic snow

December 12th - More treats for Lexi!

Today, Topher told me that since Lexi loved his other cookies so much, He wanted to make another treat for her!  So he emailed Mrs. Claus and got the recipe for her famous Candy Cane Cookies!

Topher studied the recipe really hard!

He figured out how to use the mixer, and mixed all the ingredients together....

with the cookie dough all mixed, he rolled them into balls...

and rolled those balls in Sugar....

and neatly placed them on a cookie sheet!

Took a whole TEN minutes to cook, and Topher was very impatient!!!!

But while waiting, He took a bunch of the Candy Cane Kisses, and got them all ready to go!

And he even cleaned up after himself!

Finally! The cookies were all done!  He pressed the kisses into each cookie, and quickly placed them into the fridge so the cookies didn't melt the kisses all the way!

And after a few minutes, they were ALL DONE!!!  Dont they look delicious?!

Thanks Topher! I'm sure Lexi will LOVE them!

December 11th - Snowflakes!

I told Topher that while he is staying with us, he is welcome to anything in the home he wants.  Well.... I wasn't quite expecting his latest project.  Take a look...

I walked into Lexi's room to find that he had his arms full of Q-Tips.....

Without dropping a single one, He climbed up into Lexi's bed...

And dropped his pile of Q-Tips

And started making a pattern out of them...

What is he making today?

???

Awe Cute! It looks like a Snowflake!!!

Yep! Its a snowflake! How Neat!!!  Look at all the fun designs!

So much fun!!! Love having our little elf around!!
